The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society describes its Hammonton festival as the longest-running Italian festival in the country, a tradition since 1875, with 2026 marking the 151st annual celebration. Feast week ran July 13-18, 2026 at the Mt. Carmel Carnival Grounds with nightly live music and DJs, Italian food, a beer garden and a carnival midway. On the feast day, July 16, a 3 p.m. Mass was followed by a procession through Hammonton and fireworks after dark. Admission to the carnival grounds is free; unlimited-ride wristbands were $40 per day on July 14, 15 and 16.
