Grandstand

The permanent seating structure facing a fairground arena or track, and the ticketed shows staged there.

A grandstand is the tiered seating that faces a fairground's main arena or track. At agricultural fairs it hosts the events that need an audience on one side and space on the other: horse shows, pulling contests, motorsports and headline concerts. Grandstand events are often ticketed separately from fair admission, so a fair that lists both live music and competitions may be selling several distinct tickets on the same night.

Also known as: grandstand show.
