Pulling

Pulling is a competition in which the entrant drags a weighted sled down a dirt track, and the winner moves the load farthest. Classes include antique tractors, modified tractors, pickup trucks and draft animals, each in weight brackets. Pulls run on a schedule in the arena in front of the grandstand. Warren, Hunterdon and Middlesex had tractor or truck pulls, and Salem had kiddie tractor pulls. Motorized pulls are loud, so bring hearing protection for small children.
