Shad are migratory fish that spend most of the year in the ocean and swim up rivers in spring to spawn, including the Delaware River along New Jersey's western edge. The Lambertville Shad Festival celebrated that annual run with artisan and craft vendors, food, live music and shad-related exhibits across downtown Lambertville. The festival was listed for April 25 and 26 (unconfirmed).
